Overview

Bloodstain pattern analysis (BPA) is a discipline within the field of forensic science. Crime scene personnel process crime scenes after the event has occurred. Liquid blood is deposited on various surfaces during a violent event. The aftermath is what crime scene personnel have to interpret. Through analysis of the bloodstain patterns, one can often reconstruct events that took place during the incident.
